Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use Cordly, including people who use assistive technology. This statement explains what we do, where we fall short, and how to reach us.
What we do
- Clear structure: pages use semantic HTML with headings, landmarks and a "Skip to content" link. This helps screen readers move around the page.
- Keyboard: you can use all links, buttons, product options and forms with a keyboard, and you can always see where the focus is.
- Readable text: text colours are chosen to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast level. You can enlarge text up to 200% without losing content.
- Images: we give product images a text alternative that describes what they show.
- Works without scripts: the product page, product options and the checkout button work even with JavaScript turned off.
- Forms: form fields have visible labels and clear error messages.
- Motion: we avoid video that plays on its own and flashing content.
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA, and we check our pages when we change them. No independent audit has been done yet.
Known limitations
- Checkout: Shopify provides the payment and checkout pages, and is responsible for their accessibility. If you have trouble there, email us and we will help you finish your order.
- Supplier images: some product photos come from our supplier. They may contain details that the text does not fully describe. Ask us for any detail you need.
